67 Chevelle SS 396

Like any car that visits our shop, the owner wanted to make his car better. More driveable, more comfortable, and more reliable. While it is here it is getting converted to power steering using a Delphi 600 Steering box from Borgeson, SSBC Front disc brake conversion, and a ABS Power Brake systems' Power Brake setup to add a little more safety and confidence in the driveability of the car. Along with confidence in a car comes comfort, which is why we are installing a Vintage Air Sure-Fit A/C system complete with a killer looking black anodized Front Runner accessory drive to dress up the front of the Rat Motor. The car is also getting a American Autowire Classic Update wiring harness to replace the heavily "modified" wiring harness that was in it. Not only is this a reliability issue, but a safety issue was well when you consider the wiring harness that was in it was pushing almost 50 years old. We are also doing some general detailing of systems to sanitize the looks under the hood such as new fuel lines, spark plug wires and routing, mounting locations of ignition components, fixing leaks, etc. Everything we are doing on this one should make it a much more enjoyable car.
